Coffee often gets a bad rap, but studies are showing that coffee may actually be good for you. People who drink four or more cups of coffee a day have up to a 20 percent lower risk of melanoma than those who don't according to a 2015 study in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute. "Coffee is incredibly rich in antioxidants, which are responsible for many of its health benefits," says Joy Bauer, RD, nutrition and health expert. Studies have also shown that its caffeine content may also play a protective role in some health conditions.
In addition to lowering your skin cancer risk, coffee can also decrease your odds of developing the following health issues:
Stroke
Diabetes
Stress
Tooth Decay
Parkinson's Disease
Breast Cancer
Heart Disease
Throat and Mouth Cancers
